Plus, no personal income tax! Primary Function: Develop and champion the Business Excellence and Continuous Improvement program. Lead the culture change and develop the implementation plan. This position is essential in developing a culture of continuous improvement. Working with the leadership team, develop the Business Excellence strategy and detail planning consistent with the overall business strategy including timelines, priorities, and required skills. Educate and align the local leadership team in Business Excellence guiding principles. Develop the training program to teach required lean tools and build the company tool kit. Engage, educate, and champion the Business Excellence program and tools across all areas of the company Organizational Relationships LINE: Reports to SVP Operations INTERFACE: Interfaces with Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, Finance Position Responsibilities and Specific Duties Create and coordinate implementation of new and improved manufacturing and supply chain processes Responsible for various engineering assignments Applying advance CI principles Project management with cross functional teams Outside key vendor liason partner with plant managers to ensure SOP’s established/adhered to identify and establish standard work responsible for coordinating enterprise CAPEX budget identifies supply chain process requirements and improvement opportunities point person for business process improvement works with SVP on supply chain strategy analyzes, develops and recommends design approaches required to meet production requirements on new products sources best in class equipment to ensure company is optimizing cost structure relative to competition coaches supervisors on lean methodology Requirements: BS degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering 5-7 years’ experience with continuous improvement activities both in a leadership and participatory roles. Well organized, good critical thinking skills, and ability to understand the long term strategy Demonstrated ability to work effectively with employees across all levels and functions of the business. Ability to coach, mentor, and guide employees Self starter/creative problem solver Passion and drive to continuously improve Bias for action (hunter not farmer) Adherence to timelines and deadlines is a must Prefer plant based manufacturing experience Strong PC skills – Office, prefer CAD, project management, 5s Proven interpersonal & communication skills at all organizational levels Proven & effective facilitation, leadership, mentoring, and training skills Salary is commensurate with experience.
