Summary: A fast-growing manufacturing company in the upper Midwest is seeking a dynamic, business oriented Human Resources Director who, as a member of the Senior Management Team, will help them achieve their manufacturing and business goals as the company continues to expand. This role engages as a trusted advisor, coach, and consultant for senior leaders to improve leadership capability, team effectiveness, strategic insight, and business performance; and plays an integral role on management teams within the business unit to add value to the organization. Responsibilities Include: Enhances and builds the capability of the business by incorporating the people component into strategic planning, development, and assessment. Works with top management to set long-term staffing goals, as well as development and effectiveness strategies. Drive and support recruitment efforts for business unit positions. Ensures effective execution of HR services to the business and a positive customer experience; partners with HR staff and business unit leadership to understand all services requested/delivered, monitoring performance and course correcting as necessary to ensure strong employee relations practices are in place. Generates and analyzes statistical data and reports (e.g. turnover, employee surveys, performance management, etc.) to identify and determine opportunities to work with leadership to improve the overall environment. Coaches and guides managers on employee relations issues such as performance, employee concerns etc., and partner with Legal department when necessary to investigate and resolve issues. Facilitates and provides training to managers and employees on a variety of topics such as orientation, employment law topics, leadership/management effectiveness training, and improvement related topics. Partners with the broader HR community to support the business in driving organizational alignment, managing through change, drive employee engagement, build a global mind-set, and promote a culture of diversity and inclusion. Conducts the succession planning/business continuity planning process within the business unit. Works with business leaders to identify needed knowledge, skills, and abilities required for positions. Provides coaching and work direction to other HR team members, may include formal leadership and responsibility for direct reports Qualifications: Undergraduate degree in Human Resources or Business Management, or related field. Graduate degree in Human Resources or Business Management preferred. 10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience with at least 5 years of Human Resources Management. PHR/SPHR and/or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred. Strong financial and operational business acumen. Ability to travel up to 25%. Salary is commensurate with experience.
