The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet all necessary quality standards and regulatory requirements throughout the production process. This role involves identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, performing inspections, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain product integrity and compliance with both internal and external standards. Key Responsibilities: Quality Control & Assurance: Develop and implement quality control processes, procedures, and inspection plans. Perform inspections and audits on products and production processes to ensure compliance with specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Identify and resolve quality issues by conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions. Testing & Analysis: Coordinate and conduct testing on materials, components, and final products to verify they meet specified quality standards. Analyze test data, and generate reports to communicate findings and recommend improvements. Maintain quality records and documentation in accordance with company procedures and regulatory guidelines. Process Improvement: Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to identify opportunities for process improvements that enhance product quality and reduce waste. Lead continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen. Monitor and track performance metrics related to product quality and production efficiency. Supplier Quality Management: Work with suppliers to ensure that materials and components meet quality standards before they enter production. Conduct supplier audits and perform assessments of supplier quality systems and processes. Establish and maintain quality performance metrics for suppliers and manage non-conformance issues when they arise. Compliance & Documentation: Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, customer specifics, etc.). Maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and other quality-related documents. Assist with internal and external audits, providing support and documentation as required. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, production, and engineering teams to support product development and troubleshooting. Provide training to employees on quality control procedures and standards. Assist in the preparation of quality reports, product specifications, and customer communications related to quality matters. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, 2-5 years of experience in a quality engineering or quality assurance role. Hands-on experience with quality control methodologies (e.g., SPC, FMEA, root cause analysis, CAPA) and familiarity with quality tools Qualifications: Strong knowledge of quality management systems and techniques for process improvement (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean) Proficiency with measurement and testing tools, equipment. ISO internal auditor. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform detailed analysis and assessments. Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) to effectively interact with cross-functional teams and suppliers. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality Physical Demands: Be able to lift 50lbs. Requires to stand for majority of daily work. Work Environment: Involves frequent exposure to cold and hot temperatures, humidity, dust, vapors, fumes, vibration and other loud noises from the plant.
